The Slot cheater

Tommy Glenn Carmichael had been born in 1950. He is considered to be one of the best modern day slot machine cheaters of our times. He had his own team, with the help of which he won millions of dollars from casinos. For as many as twenty years, he had come up with various devices which could be used in slot cheating .

A first experience

It all started in 1980 when Carmichael met a friend Ray Ming who showed him a slot machine. He began his first ever manipulation on slot machines then which he altered and then won $35 in his first ever cheating move. At that time in Las Vegas, the machines were in the process of replacement and he turned his attention to several small casinos in the area. Later, he was caught and had to spend five years in prison.

The team

When he was in prison, he met the famous Mike Balsamo and they decided to meet up and form a team when they got released from jail. However, when he was released he found out that the casinos had replaced the old machines with high technology machines which had used software and microprocessors for operating. He purchased his own slot machine to study it and then later came up with the monkey paw device which had become popular later all over the world. Using the monkey paw he was able to trip the switch in the payout chute of the machine to release coins from the slot machine.

A smart inventor

In 1991, when all the slot machines had been computerized this contraption had proved to be useless. However, he somehow managed to study the latest version of computerized slot machine at a manufacturer's firm. He studied the machine and learnt how to manipulate it and came up with a new device called light wand. It had been built with a battery from a camera and a small bulb which would be able to blind the sensor of the machine. The device was quite undetectable and he managed to make a lot of money by selling it to other cheaters.

Later in 1996, Tommy Glenn Carmichael had been again caught with his device and had been charged for possessing and manufacturing of the device aimed on casino cheating . Two years later he had been arrested again in Nevada and nabbed again the next year. Along with six members of his team he spent a long term in jail. He was ordered to stay away from casinos and is inscribed officially in the black book of the Nevada casinos. Currently, Carmichael is working towards forming various anti-cheating devices and hopes to sell it to casinos.
